Bodegas Luzón receives the Wineries for Climate Protection (WFCP) certificate that defines it as an environmentally sustainable company due to the implementation of an ambitious policy of continuous improvement and sustainability.
The WFCP certification obtained by Bodegas Luzón is geared towards ongoing improvement and sustainability in wineries, based on four key areas: reduction of greenhouse gases (GHG), water management, waste reduction and energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Obtaining this certificate developed by the Spanish Wine Federation (Federación Española del Vino – FEV) and held by very few Spanish companies, highlights the commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change of Bodegas Luzón. This commitment begun years ago with the production of organic wines and ISO 14001 certification in Environmental Management.
The WFCP certificate is also aligned with the Europe 2020 strategy objectives and provides the basis for the use of a logo attesting the winery as a sustainable supplier, enabling to inform the consumer and the other agents on the wine value chain.
Bodegas Luzón fulfills the criteria of environmental sustainability demanded by the main international distributors such as Walmart or Sainsburys.
