Bodegas Luzón has now prepared the VIII edition of the Vendimia Abierta (Open Grape Harvest) with proposals to get to know the world of wine aimed at all the public from Saturday 14th September to 1st December. Three months in which the winery will bring its history and culture closer to wine lovers.

The collection of activities which will run until December are designed for all the family, from the youngest members to the most senior. In this way, Vendimia Abierta is the perfect transmitter of wine culture to all profiles and ages, and begins with “Vendimia en Familia” (Grape Harvesting with the Family) made up of picking and treading grapes , a country mid-morning snack , grape juice and wine tasting and different arts and crafts for the youngest members of the family.

In October, there is “Creciendo con el vino” (Growing with Wine), a unique workshop where you can enjoy the evolution of wine, tasting it at each one of its stages, even before malolactic fermentation, through wood ageing and how it affects the aromas and flavours of the wine. The “Taller de los aromas” (Aromas Workshop) enables you to enjoy the different aromas and flavours of Bodegas Luzón wines. Along the same lines, the activity “Enólogo por un día” (Oenologist for a Day), will allow attendees to understand and do their own Coupage of different varieties of wine to get the perfect aroma and flavour.

Without setting fun to one side, you can enjoy “Enogymkhana”, an activity that will put attendees’ knowledge of the world of wine to the test, as well as their skills and abilities. Lastly, there are the activities of, “Pintura con vino” days (Painting with Wine), where the artist from Jumilla, Miguel Ángel Lozano, will give a workshop on creating pigment from Monastrell grapes to make a unique picture.

The 10th November is European Enotourism Day, which Bodegas Luzón is celebrating with open door days with prior appointment.
