Just a few days ago we showed you a new wine that we have made. Altos de Luzón, with vintage 2017, whose elaboration has involved months of work and dedication for all of us who are part of Bodegas Luzón.

Altos de Luzón is the answer to why we do what we do. This is in the purpose of showing the values and potential of a land we love with responsibility and pride.

With this new wine we honor to the special identity of the Jumillana land. A harsh climate at an average altitude of 650 meters that makes the earth rough and dry. The Monastrell grape shows its best version here.

The history of the wine and the people of Jumilla is defined by this landscape, represented through its label, rough, with a marked character, but full of unique beauty and richness.

The result after 12 months of aging in American and French oak barrels is Altos de Luzón. It gets a deep red color with ruby highlights. Of expressive and intense aromas, with notes of red and black fruits, sweet and soft smoked spices from aging.

In the mouth it is frank with a lively freshness that speaks of the vintage, supported by its fruity character. Wide palate and volume, with fine tannins and a persistent finish in which you can appreciate its complexity. It is a unique red that conveys our homeland and philosophy.

By this reason, we wanted to present this new wine in the hospitality of Murcia in the first person, just as we did a few months ago in the presentation of the new Alma de Luzón.

The event, which took place last Monday, January 27, in the Murcian restaurant with two Michelin stars “La Cabaña  Buenavista”, brought together more than one hundred representatives of Murcian gastronomy and hostalery. There they enjoyed an appetizer prepared by La Cabaña, as well as a showcooking starring chef Pablo González-Conejero, and of course, they could almost taste our new Altos de Luzón 2017. A wine where we have returned to our origins, making a monovarietal coupage of 100% Monastrell.

Here we show you some pictures we took during the event at La Cabaña Buenavista, by Pablo González-Conejero. Without a doubt, a memory that will mark us forever.

Meet with the five senses our new Altos de Luzón. It will surprise you.
