Bodegas Luzón celebrates the 15th edition of Vendimia Abierta with almost three months of wine experiences
The winery from Jumilla celebrates fifteen editions of an initiative that once again opens its doors to the public from September 5 to November 22, with a programme covering the entire winemaking process, from grape harvesting to the first wines of the new vintage.
This year, Bodegas Luzón celebrates the 15th edition of Vendimia Abierta, an initiative that, fifteen editions after its launch, has become one of the highlights of its wine tourism calendar. From September 5 to November 22, the winery from Jumilla will once again share one of the most important moments of the wine year with visitors and wine enthusiasts through a programme combining grape harvesting, visits, tastings, workshops, gastronomy and hands-on experiences.
Fifteen editions after its launch, Vendimia Abierta continues to pursue its goal of bringing the world of wine closer to the public in a direct and participatory way, while taking advantage of a particularly significant moment for any winery: the arrival of the grapes and the beginning of a new vintage.

The programme for this 15th edition kicks off on September 5 with Vendimia en Familia (Harvesting with the Family), an experience running until September 20 that allows participants to take part in grape harvesting and the traditional grape treading. The experience also includes a guided tour, an aperitif, wine and grape must, making it an activity designed to enjoy the harvest with younger family members too.
The calendar continues on September 12 and 13 with De la Uva al Vino (From Grape to Wine), an experience focusing on the different grape varieties and the relationship between their characteristics and the aromas and flavours later found in the glass. The activity includes a Grape Laboratory, a guided tour, a comparison of grapes and wines, and an aperitif.
On September 26 and 27, El Viaje del Vino (The Journey of Wine) will allow participants to follow the evolution of wine from freshly pressed must to the bottled product through different tastings. Must, fermenting wine, wine undergoing ageing and a final tasting are all part of this journey through the different stages of the winemaking process.

A harvest to take part in, experiment and play
October will bring one of the most hands-on experiences of Vendimia Abierta. From October 3 to 11, Enólogo por un Día (Winemaker for a Day9 will give participants the opportunity to create their own wine using different blends, bottle it, label it and personalise a bottle to take home.
On October 17 and 18, the competition moves to the glass with Team Jumilla vs Team Rioja, a comparative tasting of four wines that will bring together, in a fun format, the characteristics of two great wine regions. Participants will be able to support one of the two teams and cast their vote at the end of the experience.
Creativity will also have its place on October 24 with Pintura y Vino (Painting and Wine), a workshop where participants can decorate a bottle while enjoying two wines and an aperitif. On October 31, Los Sentidos del Vino (The Senses of Wine) will offer a sensory approach to wine tasting, combining three wines with games and different sensory stimuli.

The programme continues into November
The 15th edition of Vendimia Abierta will continue in November with the celebration of Día Europeo del Enoturismo (European Wine Tourism Day) on November 7 and 8. For the first time, the wine tourism experience will incorporate live comedy. Under the title Vino y Humor con Rubén Serrano (Wine and Humour with Rubén Serrano), visitors will take part in a guided tour of the winery and then enjoy a wine tasting and aperitif while watching a performance by the Murcian comedian, actor and presenter, creator of El Chiste Explicao, Got Talent España semifinalist and contributor to La 7 Región de Murcia. The event combines wine, gastronomy and humour to offer a different way of celebrating wine culture.
The final part of the programme will have a strong focus on gastronomy and the evolution of the wines. On November 14, Maridaje entre Vinos e Ibéricos (Wine and Iberian Cured Meats Pairing) will combine four wines with four selected Iberian cured meats, while November 15 will be dedicated to Queso y Vino: El Arte de Maridar (Cheese and Wine: The Art of Pairing), featuring four wines and four cheeses.
As the grand finale, on November 21 and 22, Historias de la Nueva Añada (Stories of the New Vintage) will offer an exclusive opportunity to taste the first young wines made from the 2025 harvest, accompanied by a guided tour, a tasting of three young wines and an aperitif.
With fifteen editions behind it, Vendimia Abierta has established itself as a key event within Bodegas Luzón’s wine tourism programme. For almost three months, it offers visitors the opportunity to experience wine from different perspectives while sharing the natural calendar of a winery with the public: from the arrival of the grapes to the first wines of the new vintage.
