Finca Luzón Roble takes off with Lufthansa: Jumilla wine arrives in first-class VIP lounges across Germany
Some wines are made to accompany special moments, whilst others, almost without realising it, end up reaching far further than anyone could ever have imagined. This is precisely what is happening with Finca Luzón Roble, which, as of this May, forms part of the dining experience in Lufthansa’s First Class and Senator VIP lounges in Germany. A new international milestone for one of our winery’s most iconic wines and, moreover, a magnificent opportunity to continue showcasing the character of Jumilla to the world through Monastrell.
The inclusion of Finca Luzón Roble in the selection offered by one of Europe’s most prestigious airlines means much more than a mere presence on the wine list. It means gaining access to spaces where travellers seek quality, authenticity and a memorable experience even before take-off. And that is where our wine finds its natural place: in a contemporary, Mediterranean offering deeply rooted in its heritage.
Because the Finca Luzón range is exactly that: a return to our roots. It all began at Finca Luzón, a setting where the diversity of vineyards and grape varieties has enabled us to produce wines with their own distinct, modern and authentic character. Guided by this philosophy, we create young, elegant and expressive wines, in which the fresh fruit and character of the Monastrell variety set the tone from the very first sip.
In the case of Finca Luzón Roble, this is a 100% Monastrell that stands out for its intense cherry-red colour and a bouquet featuring aromas of ripe red fruit, sweet spices and toasty, creamy notes from its time in oak. On the palate, it is lively, fruity, full-bodied and balanced, with ripe, sweet tannins that make it a versatile and easy-to-enjoy wine, both for regular wine drinkers and for those discovering the variety for the first time.
The wine selected for Lufthansa was also awarded the Best Buy seal by Wine Enthusiast magazine, a distinction that reinforces its excellent value for money and helped position the wine within the international selection process.
The work carried out alongside Zeter Die Weinagentur, a key partner with whom we successfully won the tender to enter Lufthansa Germany, has also been fundamental to this achievement. A collaboration that reflects the importance of building solid alliances to continue bringing our wines to new markets and consumers.
The news also comes at a particularly exciting time for the Finca Luzón brand, whose new image continues to consolidate a fresher, more elegant and contemporary style, in line with the philosophy of honest, easy-to-understand Mediterranean wines. An aesthetic evolution that accompanies the range’s international growth without losing sight of its essence.
And if there’s one thing we particularly like about this sort of project, it’s seeing how Spanish wine continues to gain a foothold in international settings where the dining experience takes centre stage. From a fine red from Jumilla to wines so deeply rooted in our culture as Cava Mina de Oro or Cava itself, wine remains one of the finest ambassadors for our unique take on the Mediterranean.
